Our Type Rating Courses provide knowledge and proficiency necessary to acquire a AW139 helicopter type rating, the pilot student being already rated on another type of the same group (multi-engine turbine).

Course Overview
Prerequisites
Applicants must:
- Hold a valid CASA PPL(H), CPL(H), or ATPL(H)
- Hold a valid medical certificate (Class II mini)
- Justify an English Language Proficiency (ICAO Level 4 minimum)
- Hold a valid Instrument rating (only for IFR TR)
- Hold a current multi engine Type Rating
Course Content
AW139 Pilot Type Rating
CASA approved zero-flight-time V/IFR syllabus, consisting of:
60 hours Aircraft Technical Theory training course:
- Aircraft Systems description
- Limitations
- Performances
- Flight planning and monitoring
- Emergency procedures
16 hours in CAE S3000 Level D CASA/EASA/OEM approved simulator:
- 8 hours VFR
- 6 hours IFR (if IFR Type Rating)
- 2 hour assessment
- 2 hour flight training
Certificate
After successful completion, the pilot student will be awarded a CASR Part 61 certificate of approved training for the type rating.
